About Us

Mangalore Charity Forum was found in May 2018, with provision of monthly Grocery Kits to very poor and needy people without any source of income in their households and since then, we have continued with this noble and novel form of charity work. In February 2020, we have registered as Charitable Trust at Mangalore Registrar Office.

What We Do

Food

We were able to reach many poor families in remote villages, where vehicle transport is not available. Our volunteers are ensuring that these Grocery Kits reach their doorsteps. With the recent lockdown after Covid-19 spread, the demand for such food kits increased and we had to expand this charity work. We have now enhanced this work in our regular local areas apart from coordinating with other charity organization for distribution of essential Food Kits in far off places.

Education

Education is the very essence of any community to progress and prosper. With this objective, MCF core committee has decided to spend more resources in Educational field. Supporting financially and providing best possible guidance will be the main tasks. The potential actions will be considered according to individual case situations and resources available.

Empowerment

Empowering the community by enabling own livelihood is another task MCF has embarked from our Yearly Ramadhan collection Fund. Assisting people to set up small/low set up cost businesses and start ups (examples- setting up petty shop and provision of sewing machine for tailoring - from what MCF supported in 2019)

Health

MCF has been providing medicines to the very needy apart giving financial support to needy dialysis patients. Our future plan includes conducting free medical camps in backward and remote places with difficulties in accessing health care.
